Sometimes the way forward involves admitting you are wrong. The problem is: we don’t like to do that! That’s why it pays to wait for the voice in your head that speaks with a compassionate tone. Then listen.
Self-inquiry feels safest in quiet spaces. That’s important for all of us, but if we never come out into the bright noisy world, our growth hits a limit quickly. That’s why I’m committing to a public practice.
Being completely engaged is something that kids tend to be better at than adults. My daughter and her cousins took me to school this morning.
The problems in our mind also show up in our body. That’s why movement is often better than thinking, especially moving into aliveness, possibility and connection.
